The Legacy - STAGE 1
You can identify a true Master of fine art photogrphery by the following;
They usually (but not always) have their own studio, their own printing lab and use sometimes very heavy film enlargers and other equipment. Their space is totally digital FREE.
Taking the Photograph
They are in complete control of the process including the styling of the subject, the lighting, the composition, the environment (in or out of the studio).
They prefer to work alone or with no more than a small number of "assistants" to deal with the models, make-up, locations scouting, security, admin, etc.
They are artist's, first and foremost and not "camera operators" - so they will have a major say, if not be the lead, in any commercial commission or special project.
Their knowledge, opinion and experience counts - they are not instant gratifiers of their art and will take their time to get the one perfect shot AND NOT reel off thousands of photographs in the hope's of getting the best one of the lot.
